Platts reports that Dominion Energy is expected to begin LNG production at its Cove Point LNG terminal in Lusby, Md. in November 2017. The article quotes Dominion Energy CEO Thomas Farrell as saying “[t]he Cove Point Liquefaction construction is effectively complete and the facility is going through its advanced-commissioning phase.” Once service commences, Cove Point will be the second U.S. exporter of LNG produced from shale gas.
