Venture Global LNG, Inc. announced that Venture Global Plaquemines LNG, LLC and Électricité de France, S.A. (EDF) have entered into a 20-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) for the supply of one million tonnes per annum of LNG from the proposed Plaquemines LNG export facility in Plaquemines Parish, La. FERC has denied requests for rehearing of its orders authorizing construction and operation of the proposed Texas LNG Brownsville and Annova LNG Brownsville liquefaction and LNG export projects on the Brownsville Ship Channel in Cameron County, Texas. Cameron LNG has filed a letter with FERC seeking a 6-year extension of time, until May 5, 2026, to construct and place into service the Expansion Project at its Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes, La., liquefaction and LNG export terminal.
