Cheniere Energy, Inc. announced that its subsidiary Cheniere Marketing International LLP has entered into an LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with CPC Corporation, Taiwan (CPC). Pieridae Energy in Talks to Sell Goldboro LNG Supplies to Swiss Utility

Reuters reports that Pieridae Energy, sponsor of the proposed Goldboro LNG terminal in Nova Scotia, is negotiating with Swiss energy company Axpo for a 10-year LNG supply deal. Axpo would buy the LNG from Goldboro’s second train for sales across Europe, with deliveries estimated to begin in the third quarter of 2023.

DOE Releases U.S. LNG Export Data for June 2018

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has released data on U.S. LNG exports covering year to date through June 2018. The data shows the following LNG export shipments from the Dominion Energy Cove Point Terminal in Lusby, Md., which began LNG exporting in March 2018: six shipments to Japan, two each to Jordan and Kuwait, and one each to Argentina, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Pakistan, Panama, and United Kingdom. NextDecade Sells $50 Million in Convertible Stock

DOE Resets Jordan Cove LNG Export Start Date

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting Jordan Cove Energy Project’s (JCEP) request to amend its existing authority to export LNG to nations with a Free Trade Agreement with the United States from its proposed LNG terminal at Coos Bay, Ore.  The order resets the date by which LNG exports must commence from December 7, 2021 to July 20, 2028, and lowers the authorized LNG export volume from 438 Bcf/yr to 395 Bcf/yr to match the terminal capacity reflected in JCEP’s renewed application pending before FERC for authorization to construct the terminal facility....
