Elba Island LNG Production Pushed Back to Q1 2019

Kinder Morgan has announced that the first of ten LNG production units at affiliate Southern LNG Company’s terminal at Elba Island, Georgia, is now expected to be placed in service in Q1 2019, with the remaining nine units expected to come online throughout 2019. Venture Global LNG Signs Supply Contracts with Polish Oil and Gas

The Houston Chronicle reports that Venture Global LNG has signed two 20-year contracts to provide LNG from its proposed Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG terminals in Louisiana with the state-run Polish Oil and Gas Company. FERC Releases Draft EIS for Rio Grande LNG Project

FERC Staff has released the draft environmental impact statement (EIS) for the proposed Rio Grande LNG export terminal in Cameron County, Texas, and interconnected pipeline. The draft EIS “concludes that construction and operation of the Rio Grande LNG Project would result in some adverse environmental impacts, but these impacts would be reduced to less than significant levels. Platts reports that Tokyo Gas Tuesday has signed a heads of agreement (HOA) with Diamond Gas International, the trading arm of Mitsubishi Corporation, to purchase LNG from the proposed LNG Canada project in British Columbia. TransCanada Corporation announced today that it will proceed with construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline project to serve LNG Canada’s proposed liquefaction and LNG export facility in Kitimat, British Columbia (B.C.).
