Cheniere Unit Corpus Christi Stage III and Apache Sign Long-Term Gas Supply Agreement Indexed to Global LNG Prices

Cheniere Energy (Cheniere) announced that its subsidiary, Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage III, LLC (Corpus Christi Stage III), has entered into a long-term gas supply agreement (GSA) with Apache Corporation (Apache) under which Apache has agreed to sell 140,000 MMBtu/day of natural gas to Corpus Christi Stage III for a term of approximately 15 years. Total to Acquire Toshiba LNG portfolio

Total announced that it has signed an agreement with Toshiba to acquire its portfolio of LNG, including a 20-year tolling agreement for 2.2 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Freeport LNG train 3 in Texas and the corresponding gas transportation agreements on the pipelines feeding the terminal. Cameron LNG Sends Out First Commissioning Cargo; Receives Extension of Time to Complete Facilities

Today, Cameron LNG announced that the first commissioning cargo shipment of LNG departed from its Hackberry, La., liquefaction and export facility. Commercial operations will follow completion of performance testing and receipt of FERC authorization to commence service. BP and ExxonMobil to Contribute $20 million Toward FERC Approval of Alaska LNG Project

Platts reports that North Slope producers BP and ExxonMobil have agreed to contribute $10 million each to help the state of Alaska complete the FERC approval process for the proposed $41 billion Alaska LNG project. According to the report, state-owned Alaska Gasline Development Corporation needs $30 million and another year to complete the FERC approval process. Freeport LNG Requests Extension to Complete Liquefaction Project; DOE Authorizes Train 4 Exports

Freeport LNG has filed a letter with FERC requesting an 11-month extension of time to enable Freeport LNG to complete construction of its Liquefaction Project on Quintana Island, Texas, and place it in service by no later than June 30, 2020. FERC’s July 30, 2014 order authorizing the project set a 5-year deadline, July 30, 2019, to construct the project and make it available for service.
