Experts at CERA Conference Do Not Expect Global LNG Pricing Over Next Two Years

Despite predicting that “[t]he global gas business will go through a transformative, radical change in the next 24 months,” Michael Stoppard, senior director of global gas with Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), told the CERAWeek 2008 conference that a single global price for LNG will not be in place over the next two years. Several other speakers, including Darcel Hulse, president of Sempra LNG, and John Gass, president of Chevron Global Gas, agreed that a single global price for LNG is unlikely to develop in the near future.
