Excelerate Energy Files FERC Application for Aguirre Offshore GasPort Project
A subsidiary of Excelerate Energy L.P. filed an application with FERC to construct and operate an LNG import terminal and 4.1-mile subsea interconnecting pipeline in Salinas, along the southern shore of Puerto Rico. The project will also include a non-FERC jurisdictional floating storage and regasification unit. The project will provide up to 3.2 Bcf of LNG storage capacity and sustained deliverability of 500 MMscf/day of natural gas directly to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority’s Aguirre Power Plant.
