A spokesperson for GDF Suez told Platts that the company does not expect Hurricane Irene to cause any operational disruptions at the Everett LNG import terminal, noting that the terminal has not changed its shipping schedule. Similarly, a spokesperson for Repsol said that no service disruptions are expected at the Canaport LNG import terminal.
Separately, Reuters reports that according to a GDF Suez spokesperson, the Everett LNG terminal is designed to withstand a category 5 hurricane.
