On Friday, May 5, FERC Staff issued an Environmental Assessment for the expansion of Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG facility, which is currently under construction in Cameron Parish, La. In the EA, FERC Staff says that the proposed expansion from 2.6 Bcf/d to 4 Bcf/d “would not constitute a major federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment” if the prescribed mitigating measures are implemented.
