Emera Brunswick Pipeline Receives Environmental Approval
The proposed Emera Brunswick Pipeline, which would transport gas from the Canaport LNG terminal under construction near Saint John, New Brunswick, to the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, has received environmental approval from Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB). In its report, the NEB conditions its approval on acceptance of recommendations, including development of a site-specific environmental protection plan and establishment of emergency response procedures. The pipeline still requires approval by the Canadian Cabinet. Reuters provides additional coverage.
