EIA: U.S. Natural Gas Imports, Including LNG, Likely to Decline By 2030

In its Annual Energy Outlook 2009, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) predicts that U.S. natural gas net imports, including LNG, will account for 3% of the U.S. natural gas supply by 2030, down from 16% in 2007. The EIA also predicts that U.S. LNG imports will peak at 1.5 Tcf in 2018, but will decline to 800 Bcf in 2030.
