An editorial published by the Connecticut Day states that new scientific findings regarding the marine ecosystem on the seafloor of Long Island Sound ought to be considered by FERC prior to the Commission issuing the Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Broadwater LNG regasification terminal. The editorial contends that impacts on this sensitive marine ecosystem were not fully documented in the report and cites past criticism of several environmental scientists that the Draft Environmental Impact Statement is not complete.
