An editorial carried by The Columbian (Wash.) opposes NorthernStar’s proposed Bradwood Landing LNG facility on the Columbia River, despite praising the outreach efforts of the project’s developers. The editorial cites the large environmental impact of the terminal and states that, “an LNG terminal, though suited for other parts of the country, does not belong in or near the Columbia River estuary.” This editorial comes in the wake of a staff report that recommends Clatsop county officials oppose the terminal as well.
