DOE Hears from Both Sides on LNG Export Debate
Comments in support of and in opposition to increased U.S. LNG exports were filed at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) this week. For example, Alcoa filed in opposition to unlimited LNG exports and proposed that DOE should take a cautious approach to granting LNG export applications, while ExxonMobil filed in support of DOE acting expeditiously to grant LNG export applications and letting the market determine the level of LNG exports. The comments can be found on DOE’s website.
