Distrigas Proposes to Change Regulatory Status of Everett LNG Terminal

Distrigas has filed with FERC to change the regulatory status of its Everett LNG import terminal in Boston, Mass. In its application filed in late December, Distrigas proposes to abandon the service it has provided under Section 7 of the Natural Gas Act and convert the terminal to a Section 3 terminal, which Distrigas states is in keeping with FERC’s Hackberry Policy and the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct). Distrigas’ application is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP08-49.
