Crown Landing LNG Transit Management Plan Under Development
Local and federal emergency personnel are developing a transit management plan (TMP) to coordinate security efforts for LNG vessel transit to BP’s Crown Landing terminal project in Logan Township, N.J. The plan is expected to include U.S. Coast Guard escort vessels, tugboats with firefighting equipment, and support from local and state emergency officials from Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. According to BP’s Crown Landing spokesperson, Tom Mueller, the TMP will deal with cost distribution and BP will cover security costs that would not exist in the terminal’s absence. Details are in The Gloucester County Times. [This article is no longer available online.]
