Speaking to SoMdNews.com, a spokesperson for the Cove Point LNG terminal said that although plans to install LNG liquefaction equipment at the Cove Point facility are preliminary, adding liquefaction capability “would make the Cove Point facility certainly a lot more complete.” According to the piece, Susan Shaw of the Calvert County Board of Commissioners said that Dominion has been in touch with local government officials and she does not expect construction activities associated with the liquefaction plan to be disruptive to the surrounding community.
