Yesterday Dominion Cove Point LNG, LP filed an answer to Washington Gas Light Company’s (WGL) request for rehearing filed with FERC regarding its order authorizing Cove Point LNG’s Pier Reinforcement Project. Citing U.S. Supreme Court precedent and other sources, Dominion emphasized that FERC repeatedly has ruled in other proceedings that there is a lack of causation between the Cove Point expansion and the proposed pier reinforcement project and any potential, speculative leaks that may occur on WGL’s local distribution system.
