County Grants Final Approval of Land-Use Application for Bradwood Landing LNG Proposal
Late last week, the Clatsop County (Ore.) Board of Commissioners voted 4-1 to approve, with conditions, the land-use application for the proposed Bradwood Landing LNG regasification terminal. According to the Daily Astorian, the public hearing which preceded the commissioners’ vote was contentious, as critics of the proposal voiced their opposition to the project.
Also, KTVZ News reports that opponents of the project intend to continue to contest the decision by appealing the decision to the Land Use Board of Appeals and possibly placing a referendum on the county’s ballot to allow local residents to decide.
