ICF Consulting has concluded that Washington and Oregon ought to encourage LNG projects in the Pacific Northwest as a means to diversify supply away from past over reliance on imports from western Canada and the Rocky Mountains. The report also notes that Washington and Oregon should actively encourage the development of Arctic gas supplies as a means to lower the consumer gas price. Read more in Platts LNG Daily.
