Yankee Gas Services Co. has completed construction of its $108 million LNG storage and processing facility in Waterbury, Conn., and will begin filling its tank with LNG soon. While LNG import terminals have met resistance in the region, the Hartford Courant reports that Yankee’s facility was well-received because storage facilities are more familiar to local residents.
