Connecticut Attorney General Says Alternative LNG Proposal Obviates Need for Broadwater

In comments filed with the New York State Office of General Services Division of Land Utilization, Connecticut State Attorney General Richard Blumenthal asked that the Broadwater LNG proposal be scrapped, claiming that New York state law basically requires Broadwater to be rejected in favor of BlueOcean Energy, which he views as a safer alternative. Blumenthal cited the greater distance from shore,  more regasification capacity, and potentially less environmental risk as reasons for his support of BlueOcean Energy.
