Waxman’s (D-CA) investigation into the EPA’s decision to reverse its position on the applicability of Ventura County’s air quality laws to the proposed BHP Cabrillo Port offshore terminal could have a nationwide impact on the EPA’s policies regarding offshore facilities. Today’s story reports that Waxman is considering calling upon the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which he chairs, to hold a hearing on the issue.
