The World reports that, at a meeting of Oregon International Port of Coos Bay officials on Thursday, local residents were evenly divided with regard to Jordan Cove Energy’s proposed LNG terminal. Some speakers hoped the terminal would bring more jobs and industry, while others worried it could change the character of the area and a few expressed anger regarding efforts to survey a route for the associated pipeline.
