Coast Guard Considers LNG Security Help from Contractors, State Agencies

Speaking with Platts LNG Daily at the CWC Group’s conference last week, U.S. Coast Guard Commander John Cushing indicated that the USCG is weighing the use of outside resources, including private contractors, to alleviate the burdens associated with LNG security.  Cushing explained that although the USCG “currently feel[s] prepared” to handle LNG security, the agency faces limited resources and additional security responsibilities since 9/11.  Read the detailed interview in Platts LNG Daily.  [Subscription required]
