The City of Boston has filed a request with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to extend the comment period for Everett LNG’s request to cancel its existing gas tariff and convert the terminal to a Section 3 facility under the Natural Gas Act. In its request, available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP08-49, Boston argues that it has not had enough time to consider the impact that the transition would have on LNG vessel traffic through Boston Harbor and the development of regional LNG infrastructure in the Northeast.
