Chevron has cancelled plans to develop an LNG import facility near Mexico’s Coronado Islands. According to the North American Terminal Survey [subscription required], the project became too expensive and drew criticism from environmentalists. Reuters reports that Chevron instead has opted to send supply from its Gorgon natural gas field in Australia to Japan.
