Chesapeake CEO Says He Hopes U.S. LNG Exports Will Not Be Necessary
Although he would like the right to export U.S. natural gas as LNG, Chesapeake CEO Aubrey McClendon said yesterday that he would prefer that the United States’ large natural gas resources were used domestically, possibly in the transportation sector. However, a Cheniere Energy representative told Reuters that Chesapeake has pledged publicly to supply 500 MMcf/d of natural gas to the planned Sabine Pass LNG export project.
