Cheniere Officially Opens Sabine Pass LNG Import Terminal

The Houston Business Journal reports that Cheniere Energy Inc. has officially opened its Sabine Pass LNG regasification terminal and the associated Creole Trail gas pipeline in Cameron Parish, La. Cheniere’s CEO, Charif Souki, called the opening “the culmination of years of hard work and effort.”

Separately, The Daily Advertiser (Lafayette, La.) reports that U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman and U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany (R-La.) toured the Sabine Pass LNG facility yesterday.
