The California State Lands Commission notified NorthernStar Natural Gas that it has terminated the Clearwater Port LNG project proposed for offshore California due to inactivity for a period exceeding six months. According to the Ventura Country Star, the project has been inactive for more than a year. An official with NorthernStar commented that he believes the project “is still a very good opportunity in the long run.”
