Broadwater Developers to Give Journalists a Tour of Proposed Site

The Day (Conn.) reports that Broadwater LNG officials will ferry two groups of journalists today to the proposed site for the Broadwater LNG terminal in Long Island Sound. Broadwater officials say that the trip’s purpose is to explain what the site is like, why it was chosen, and how much marine traffic travels nearby.

The article also reports that Connecticut’s Sens. Chris Dodd (D) and Joe Lieberman (I) sent a letter to FERC suggesting that the USCG safety analysis of the Broadwater proposal ought to be re-examined in light of a GAO report on LNG safety. Their letter is available in the FERC eLibrary under Docket No. CP06-54.
