BP and Gazprom Agree to Supply LNG to Atlantic Basin Markets
BP and Gazprom Marketing and Trading Ltd., the U.K. subsidiary of Russia’s Gazprom, have reached an agreement under which BP will sell certain of its cargoes to Gazprom, which, in turn, will sell the LNG in Atlantic basin markets. The business venture will cover shipments made during the remainder of 2006 and early 2007. The first cargo of 135,000 m3 was loaded yesterday at Trinidad & Tobago for delivery to the Cove Point LNG terminal. Yesterday’s edition of Platts LNG Daily provides further coverage.
