Bear Head LNG Construction to Resume in October
The construction of two LNG storage tanks for the Bear Head LNG terminal in Nova Scotia is slated to restart Oct. 6, six months after former project developer Anadarko Petroleum postponed work because it had been unable to secure supply. U.S. Venture Energy, a venture capital group that purchased the project from Anadarko in July, is eager to resume construction activities. “Their philosophy is that completed terminals often quickly find a supply of gas, [so] obviously getting the construction project resumed is a key part of the supply strategy,” according to a spokesperson for Nova Scotia Business Inc., the company that brokered the sale.
