Baltimore County Plans Appeal of Sparrows Point LNG Decision
Baltimore County Executive James T. Smith Jr. told the Baltimore Sun that the county plans to appeal a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, which struck down a zoning ordinance that prohibited the siting of LNG terminals in the County’s Chesapeake Bay Critical Area. The County’s ordinance was considered the best chance for opponents to halt the Sparrows Point LNG project.
