Bahamian Government Finalizing LNG Regulations

Bahamian Minister in Energy and Environment Dr. Marcus Bethel says that regulations “of the highest order” will govern the country’s LNG industry and are expected to be finalized within two months. The Bahama Journal reports that the regulations will reflect the high standards of those implemented in countries with LNG regasification facilities, including the United States. Bethel noted that the drafters of the regulations have collaborated with FERC and Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection.
