World Gas Intelligence reports that, according to a U.S. Coast Guard source, the recent approval of two LNG terminals proposed offshore Massachusetts does not bode well for the FERC-approved Weaver’s Cove LNG terminal in Fall River, Mass. A spokesperson for Weaver’s Cove says approval of the offshore terminals means state officials acknowledge New England’s growing energy needs and may, in turn, support the Weaver’s Cove project.
