Apache May Conclude Negotiations This Year to Sell 85% of Kitimat LNG Production

An official for Apache Corp. speaking in Kuala Lumpur this week said that his company may conclude negotiations this year to sell up to 85% of the LNG produced at the Kitimat LNG facility currently under development in British Columbia, Canada. Bloomberg provides additional coverage.

Separately, Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] reports that the same company official said that Apache is “very confident” that the Kitimat LNG export project will secure all required regulatory approvals.
