Analysis: Joint LNG-Power Plant Proposals Could Change Western Canadian Energy Market
An analysis published by the Vancouver Sun suggests that two proposals combining LNG import terminals with on-site power generating facilities, Kitimat LNG and WestPac LNG’s Texada Island project, could significantly alter the Western Canadian energy market. Both projects seek to heed B.C. Hydro’s call for more private-sector electricity generators that would compliment British Columbia’s push for alternative fuels.
