Anadarko Tells Regulators Brunswick Pipeline Would Create Unfair Competitive Advantage for Canaport LNG Terminal
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. is urging the Canadian National Energy Board (NEB) to reject Emera, Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline, and Repsol’s plan to construct the Brunswick Pipeline to connect Repsol’s proposed Canaport LNG terminal in New Brunswick to the Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline at the U.S.-Canadian border. Anadarko, the developer of the proposed Bear Head LNG terminal in Nova Scotia, says the pipeline would provide the Canaport LNG terminal with a competitive advantage by allowing its shippers to reach U.S. Northeast markets at reduced transportation costs.
