Amendment to Halt Broadwater Review Fails
An amendment to a U.S. House of Representatives energy package that would have stopped FERC’s review of the proposed Broadwater LNG facility failed to pass the House yesterday, Newsday reports. The amendment, proposed by Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.), would have prevented FERC from using any federal funds next year to continue its review of the Broadwater LNG proposal. The text of the amendment is available in the Congressional Record on page H6767.
