Alumina Plants in Jamaica to Switch to Gas

Russian aluminum producer UC Rusal announced that it will switch from fuel oil to natural gas as fuel for three alumina refineries that it operates in Jamaica. The gas will be purchased from BP Energy Company, liquefied at non-cryogenic temperatures at a facility expected to be located in Pascagoula, Miss., and then loaded and transported on ocean-going carriers to Jamaica using Sea One AG’s LNG Lite Marine Gas Monetization System.
