Alaskan Utility Considering Importing LNG Via Kenai Export Terminal

Enstar Natural Gas, a natural gas utility based in Alaska, told Platts LNG Daily [subscription required] last week that it has spoken informally with ConocoPhillips, the operator of the Kenai LNG export plant, about using the facility to import LNG. According to Platts, Enstar is also examining other options to address concerns regarding the decline of production in the Cook Inlet gas field.
