Alaskan Officials Pushing North Slope Producers for Movement on Pipeline and LNG Terminal Project
The Alaska Journal of Commerce reports that Alaska state officials are pushing North Slope producers BP, ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil, and pipeline company TransCanada to move forward with their pipeline and LNG export terminal project. The report states that Alaska’s governor has requested that the companies agree on commercial terms and use this summer to move into the design and engineering phase of the project. Absent agreement, the project could be pushed back another year, because the environmental data needed to support permit applications must be gathered during the summer.
