NEB Grants Chevron Canada 40-year LNG Export License
BNN Bloomberg reports that the Canadian National Energy Board (NEB) has approved Chevron Canada’s application for a 40-year license to export LNG from its proposed liquefaction and LNG export terminal at Kitimat, British Columbia. The license was granted despite environmental opposition. According to the report, the Kitimat LNG project “is designed to be the world’s first all-electric LNG plant powered by renewable hydroelectricity. The project is in its pre-front-end engineering design (pre-FEED) phase and has not yet been given the go-ahead.”
