Platts reports that Freeport LNG has begun LNG production from Train 1 at its facility on Quintana Island, Texas, becoming the sixth major US liquefaction facility to produce LNG. According to a Freeport LNG spokeswoman, the first Train 1 cargo loading is expected later this month and Train 1 remains on schedule for a September start of commercial operations.
