Delfin LNG Requests 3.5 Year Extension to Construct Facilities
Delfin LNG LLC (“Delfin LNG”) has filed a request with FERC for a three year and six month extension of time to construct, operate and maintain onshore metering, compression, and piping facilities located in Cameron Parish, La. (“onshore facilities”). The onshore facilities will exclusively transport and deliver natural gas to Delfin LNG’s proposed deepwater port in federal waters offshore Louisiana (“offshore facilities”). The request states that “[d]ue to the detailed nature of the engineering design of the offshore facilities … and the complexity of developing the necessary commercial arrangements, progress on the project, including the onshore facilities, has been slower than originally anticipated.” Delfin LNG proposes to place the onshore facilities into service no later than March 28, 2023.
