FERC Approves Golden Pass LNG Export Terminal

FERC has issued an order authorizing Golden Pass Products LLC and Golden Pass Pipeline LLC (together, Golden Pass) to construct and operate an LNG export terminal at Golden Pass’s exiting LNG import terminal near Sabine Pass, Texas and an interconnected pipeline. Golden Pass is owned by affiliates of Qatar Petroleum International Limited and Exxon Mobil Corporation. The proposed export terminal includes three liquefaction trains with a total production capacity sufficient to produce 15.6 million (metric) tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG, each train producing 5.2 MTPA.
