The Canadian Press reports that AltaGas Ltd’s joint venture partner, Idemitsu Kosan Co. (Idemitsu), stated in its recent annual financial report that it has suspended work on the proposed Triton LNG export terminal that was planned at Kitimat or Prince Rupert, British Columbia (B.C.). The joint venture also suspended work on its proposed Douglas Channel Project in B.C. this past February due to poor market conditions. Idemitsu stated that it will try to increase exports of propane from the Ferndale terminal in Washington state to Japan through the Petrogas Energy Corp that it controls with AltaGas.
