Additional FTA LNG Exports Authorized from Corpus Christi Terminal

The U.S. Department of Energy has granted Corpus Christi Liquefaction, LLC (CCL) authority to export 514 Bcf/year of LNG over 20 years from new liquefaction Trains 4 and 5 proposed for CCL’s export terminal under construction near Corpus Christi, Texas. CCL is authorized to export the LNG to nations with a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the United States. The authorized export volume is additive to CCL’s existing authorized FTA LNG export volume of 767 Bcf/year, bringing CCL’s total authorized FTA export volume to 1,281 Bcf/year for Trains 1-5 of the CCL project.  CCL’s request to export the Trains 4 and 5 volumes to non-FTA countries remains pending.
