Federal Environmental Assessment Required for WesPac Tilbury Marine Jetty Project

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has ruled that a federal environmental assessment, rather than a provincial environmental assessment as requested by the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office, is required for the WesPac Tilbury Marine Jetty Project.  The project, proposed by WesPac Midstream – Vancouver LLC, involves the construction and operation of a new LNG export marine terminal facility adjacent to the existing FortisBC Tilbury LNG liquefaction plant on Tilbury Island, along the South Arm of the Fraser River in Delta, British Columbia.  Read more in The Georgia Straight article.
